CDG Air France La Première Lounge

CDG Air France La Première Lounge
May 2017

On arrival in Paris, a La Première rep was waiting in the jet bridge as the door opened.  She escorted me down the jet bridge elevator to the tarmac level.

To my ride today, a nice new Jaguar.

About 3 minutes later, we arrived at the lower level of the lounge, where I was waived thru security and then headed up the elevator the one of my favorite lounges anywhere.  It was reasonably crowded this morning with passengers waiting to board the mid-morning US departures including the A380 to LAX.  I did a some work and then took pics after pretty much everyone had left.

The gorgeous replica of the old Plaza Athenée bar.

OK, now I'm getting hungry.

Since it was mid morning, both Breakfast and Regular menus were available.

The wonderful rest of the day Alain Ducasse menu.

I gave my order to one of the wait staff, picked up Le Figaro and headed for my private dining room.

Showtime, La Première Lounge style.

I started with delicious shrimp caesar salad and a glass of William Fèvre 1er cru Chablis.

Followed by one of my favorites dished on the planet, Alain Ducasse's signature Coquillettes jambon/truffe noir, the amazing mac and cheese pasta with comté, ham and black truffles.

O.M.G.  To die for.  With a 2nd and 3rd glass of the Chablis and I'm in heaven.

In a noble gesture, I declined dessert.  And then changed my mind.  Decisions, decisions.

A little more work while I finished my Chablis.  The spa and rest area of the lounge.

Four and a half hours passed quickly as it was the perfect amount of time to spend in this wonderful oasis.

October 2016

Light traffic in Paris Saturday morning and we were at CDG in 25 minutes.

And at the La Première door of Terminal 2E some two and a half hours before departure.

And a warm welcome at La Première check-in.

Our wonderful La Première escorted us thru a number of locked and secret doors to a private Customs office where our Tax Free forms were processed.

Then back to the departures level...

... and VIP passport control and security.

To the amazing La Première Lounge.

We passed on breakfast at the hotel so that we could enjoy an Alain Ducasse lunch before our flight.   With a sensational 1er cru Chassagne-Montrachet.

Mrs. SFO777 started with the Lobster Caesar salad...

... while I just had to have the Coquillettes avec jambon/Comté/Truffe noir.  Simply amazing!

While Mrs. SFO777 had the wonderful croque-volaille.

What a wonderful place to spend time before your flight.

September 2016

As the door opened, we were met by our lovely personal La Première assistant Georgette, would escorted us down the jet bridge and the stairs down to our waiting private car.

For the short drive to the La Première Lounge.

Some pics from our last visit a month ago.

But the best part was the Alain Ducasse menu.

Mrs. SFO777 passed on food but no way was I going to miss a chance for an Alain Ducasse meal.  With a glass of fabulous Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru.

The foie gras de canard with brioche parisienne was fabulous.

The Croque-volaille with Comté and truffle noir was sensational.

At around T-20, Georgette escorted us downstairs to our waiting BMW.

And to our A320 to Bordeaux.

Georgette introduced us to our Purser who welcomed us on board and addressed us by name the entire flight.   Either from Georgette or in advance from the manifest, he knew that we were La Première passengers that had connected from LAX.

On arrival at Bordeaux, we were met by yet another Air France personal assistant who escorted us off the plane and into the terminal...

... and outside to the taxi stand.  Wow.

Simply amazing ground service today from Air France.  And another reason while Air France La Première is the best overall First Class in the world.
