Off to Kona

This trip started as a reasonably priced romantic birthday weekend with Mrs. SFO777 at the newly rebuilt Kona Village, a wonderful Big Island resort where we were married 25 years ago. Alas, it was not to be as her desire to be with the new grand-babies trumped romance. LOL. So here we are… goodbye United and hello private. Today we’re on a sweet Gulfstream G-IV SP for the 7 hour nonstop flight from Denver to Kona with a great crew including our wonderful flight attendant Laura.

After lunch, naptime or iPad video time at the back on the plane with shades closed.

The adults got about an hour of quiet time, to enjoy some wine and lunch.

After the Olympia trip, iPads were the best investment ever... loaded with Cocomelon and Paw Patrol videos.

Almost there.

Maui to the right.

The Big Island to the left.

Descending to Kona International.

And a perfect landing just over 7 hours after departing Denver.
