Seats 2DG

At T-45, we headed out again for our fifth security of the day and mercifully our new closer Gate H-8. After being spoiled by the FRA FCT, private security and limo service/elevator to the aircraft door, departing MUC is not nearly as attractive. And confusion today at the gate with boarding so poorly organized that even Mrs. SFO was rolling eyes.

Once on board however, our mood quickly changed, especially since the woman in 2G was more than happy to swap and move to 2K allowing us to sit together in our favorite 2DG. "Oh a window seat, lovely!" she exclaimed. Mrs. SFO now with the program added "Now you have the best seat on the airplane." You go girl!

Although the cabin was 8/8 today, service and crew were fabulous as always. "This is so much better than British!" says Mrs. SFO. Ya hear that Willie? Screw your First pax first with lack of candor, then with embarrassing service and you lose big time.

The first glass of my many glasses of Laurent-Perrier today... I'm figuring about a bottle and a half including the Janisson Rose in the FCL. Quite frankly I am in total awe of macabus and 8 bottles of Dom in 27 or so hours on SQ.

Our menu...

Amuse-bouche, crab and ahi...

Tonight the Caviar and excellent Quail on Mango Pepronata Chutney

The Frisee, Romaine and Arugula with fried Oyster Mushrooms, Carrot Juliennes and Macadamia Nut Oil was very good.

But the unfortunately named Saddle of Veal had the consistency of... a saddle. Perhaps it was the extra three hours on board, but it was very dry and hard to cut let alone chew.
Just as well as was pretty stuffed at this point.

But that didn't stop me from enjoying the delicious cheese course and a couple of glasses of Niepoort...

And an excellent Strawberry and Coco Tartlet with Passion Fruit Coulis and Vanilla Ice Cream...

After five hours of sleep and a couple more hours working on our trip photos, I only had room for the fruit plate.

Our hard-working FAs. What a pleasure to spend 12 hours with such professional team, and to again fly long-haul on a truly great airline.
