Qantas A380 First Class to Sydney

Qantas A380 First Class Dallas to Sydney

Excited to be back in Qantas First Class for the long 16+ hour flight from DFW to Sydney. And what a treat tonight with fantastic service from an extraordinary cabin crew. Wi-Fi would have been nice but then again, it was a pleasant break from being connected to the world. And Qantas continues to have one of the best beds in the sky.

Finally, I get to experience a refurbished cabin.

Pre-departure bubbles and snacks.

Oddly, the right lav was closed for the flight, apparenty due to lack of cold water.

Tonight's wine list, pretty much meh after the champagne.

LOL. There are many wonderful premium Australian wines.  Too bad none of them are being served by Qantas in 2025.

And the menu...

Love the prominent countdown to landing clock.

Rather pathetic First Class amenity kit.

Once in the air, more lovely Pommery Louise.

Tonight's delicious canapés.  Caviar blini and Crostini of seared tuna, although amusing that they mixed up the blini and crostini.

My wine choices for the evening...

Showtime Qantas First style.

Celeriac and apple soup with Alaskan king crab.

LOL..

The Red mole braised beek cheek with soft corn tortillas was outstanding.

My after dinner whiskey and cognac options with our wonderful flight attendant Catherine goofy around.

Bedtime on a very comfy Qantas First Class mattress.

After a good 7 hours sleep, up to the lounge to relax.

Some 90 minutes before landing, breakfast.

Almost there.

At the gate, a few First passengers were invited up to the cockpit.   What a treat especially to chat with the most amiable crew.

Cool to sit really up front.

This was probably the best Qantas flight that I can recall.  A delighful flight with wonderful service from an extraordinary cabin crew.
